I rarely check gauge when knitting a scarf or shawl, and the worst that can happen is I run out of yarn. On that rare occasion, I can usually figure out something to finish with from my stash, and failing that, I can spin a close enough approximation. As I was finishing up the piece inspired by my spring 2024 color themed writing prompts, I was hoping to not run out. the photo below perfectly illustrates my success…

Lantana and Hibiscus were the 5th and 6th colorways to be knit up in this scarf, followed by Magnolia and Tea Rose. I really like how this played out in the knitting. Even after making it too wide on the initial knit and having to rip half of it back to begin again, progress was pretty swift.

I seamed the end to the beginning using mattress stitch and a Color Prompt Infinify Scarf has been born!
